시놉시스 Synopsis
비가 추적추적 오던 연인의 기일. 시간 속에 갇혀버린 그녀는 연인의 죽음을 반복적으로 목격하게 된다.
A woman relives the horror of her lover's death until she is awoke by the stark reality of passing time.
연출의도 Purpose
삶에는 아무리 발버둥 쳐도 되돌릴 수 없는 일들이 일어난다. 사랑하는 사람의 죽음 또한 누구나 살다보면 필연적으로 마주하게 되는 일일 것이다. 작중의 주인공 역시 연인의 죽음을 받아들이지 못해 되돌려보려 몇번이고 노력하지만, 그녀가 어떤 노력을 하든 연인은 하루의 끝에서 결국엔 죽음을 맞이하게 된다. 마침내 그녀가 그의 죽음을 담담히 받아들이는 순간, 그치지 않을 것 같던 비가 멈추고 그녀는 멈춰있던 시간에서 벗어나게 된다. 그녀의 서사를 통해 우리가 살아가면서 타인의 죽음을 받아들이는 과정을 은유적으로 표현하고자 하였다.
There are events in our lives that we cannot change, no matter how hard we might try. The death of a loved one is something that we must all go through. The protagonist cannot accept the death of a lover and tries to change it time and again. But no matter what she tries, her lover always meets his end at the end of the day. When she finally accepts his death, the seemingly endless rain relents, and she is able to escape from the frozen moment in time. Her story is a metaphor for the process of coming to terms with someone's death.
