시놉시스 Synopsis
외출 전 현관문 너머로 인기척을 느끼면 문을 열기가 두렵고, 엘리베이터에서는 혹시나 누가 탈까 스크린 속 숫자만 쳐다보고, 많은 사람 앞에 나서야 하는 상황이 생기면 알 수 없는 두려움에 머리 속이 새하얗게 변해버린다. 사람들과 섞여 살기 위해 노력하지만, 매일 매일이 늘 새로운 도전인 한 사람에 관한 이야기.
The main character stands at the front door, fearful to leave home because of the presence of people. Inside the elevator, they stare at the numbers on the screen, afraid that someone might enter. If forced to stand in front of a crowd, they are gripped by an unknown fear and anxiety. This film tells the story of a person for whom every day is a struggle living among others.
연출의도 Purpose
누구나 두려움을 안고 살아가지만, 각자 가진 두려움의 크기는 서로 다르다. [FE:AR]은 사회공포증을 겪고 있는 한 사람에 관한 이야기이다. 삶의 전반에서 나타나는 사회공포증은 가장 흔한 정신질환 중의 하나로, 대부분의 사람은 이 공포에서 벗어나기 위해 사회적 활동을 꺼리고, 스스로 혼자 있는 삶을 택하게 된다. 겉으로 잘 드러나지 않은 숨겨진 내면의 공포를 주인공과 그를 둘러싼 사회적 상황을 통해 시각화하고자 한 작품.
[FE:AR] is a short animated film about a person who lives with constant anxiety in social situations. Social anxiety is the most common mental illness around the world and it affects almost every area of life. To escape this fear, most people tend to avoid social interactions and be alone, just like the main character in [FE:AR]. People with social anxiety fear being judged by others, so they choose to constantly hide. nevertheless, they have to blend in this world to survive even though every day is a new challenge for them. [FE:AR] visualizes these hidden fears in order to create empathy for the main character.
