영화 전문 인력 양성을 위해 영화진흥위원회에서 1984년 설립한 영화 전문 교육기관입니다.
소수정예로 연출, 촬영, 애니메이션, 프로듀싱 전공을 운영하고 있으며, 2006년부터는 장편과정을 신설하여 매년 4편의 장편 영화를 직접 제작하는 현장 실무형 교육을 진행하고 있습니다.
교육과정을 통해 완성 된 영화의 대부분은 국내외 영화제에 진출하여 다수의 수상 실적으로 해마다 많은 주목을 받고 있으며, 지금까지 700여명의 영화 인재를 배출한 국내 최고의 영화 전문 교육 기관입니다.

In 1984, the Korean Film Council established the Korean Academy of Film Arts (KAFA) as the cradle of highly trained and creative professionals. KAFA offers elite courses in film directing, animation, cinematography, and producing to a small number of select students. In 2006, we added the new Advanced Program to the curriculum, expanding the scope of practical education to bring students closer to the filmmaking scene and help them produce four feature films each year. Most of these films have been submitted to domestic and international film festivals and have won numerous awards and acclaim. Today, KAFA is South Korea’s leading film school with more than seven hundred graduates.
