'Dooly the Little Dinosaur' is Korea's favorite animation character

A green dinosaur with huge innocent eyes and magical powers is Korea's favorite animation character... according to a joint survey conducted by three local cartoon networks. It's 'Dooly the Little Dinosaur', whose staying power dates back a generation. Dooly debuted in comics in 1983, the brainchild of one of Korea's top cartoonists Kim Soo-jung, and was turned into a television animation series four years later. Perhaps surprisingly, the character known as the "children's president" here in Korea,... 'Pororo the little Penguin' came in second in the survey,... followed by transformation car 'Tobot' and 'Larva'.
